The specifications and lethality of the device are yet to be determined. Federal and local law enforcement officials are on site. The NYPD bomb squad are likely to be on site and investigating the device.
The second device and presents the possibility of a connection between the Seaside bombing, earlier today, and the explosion in New York, today.
The explosion in New Jersey occurred near a New Jersey Marine Corps race. No definitive word or details have emerged as to any terror connection, identities, or motives of those behind the bombings.
