Watch: Would Osama bin Laden have hated ISIS?

This video raises some good points about why Osama bin Laden would have hated ISIS had he survived to see their rise. Al-Qaeda and ISIS are competing for recruits, monetary resources, foreign support, and territory. Examining the recently declassified bin Laden files, the video states Osama bin Laden would have criticized ISIS’s main mission and methodology.

Osama bin Laden longed for an Islamic state, but did not pursue it while in hiding, as he said it would ultimately fail if the United States was not destroyed. Therefore, his main mission was to destroy the United States and then create the Islamic state. It is an interesting concept to debate given the information found after bin Laden’s death.
