Police stated an unidentified hispanic male was shooting at people with a rifle near a polling station and several homes in the area. At least one person was killed and three were wounded. Two of the wounded are said to be in critical condition. The fatality is believed to be the active shooter. The active shooter situation quickly turned into a barricaded/containment operation as the shooter entered a house and began to fire at police.
The shooting led to an hours-long standoff at a house in Azusa, where the assailant was barricaded. At about 5:30 p.m., police removed a body from a home on the block. But it was unclear whether it was the assailant, whom police described as a heavily armed woman. Several witnesses interviewed by The Times, however, said the shooter was a man.” – LA Times

Situation has transitioned from active to barricade/containment… All those near scene shelter in place all others stay out of the area
CBS local news stated that a deceased male was found in the house where the shooter was firing at police. In the press conference, police were not sure if he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound or was shot by police.
A man was removed from the house shortly after 5 p.m. Police Officer Jerry Willison said the person was believed to be dead. No police were injured.”- CBS News
Two polling stations and multiple schools were on lockdown following the shooting. The lockdowns have been lifted at this time.
