The premier firearm manufacturer introduced its latest addition to its P365 series last week, including seven micro-compact entries and four larger-sized models.
SIG’s CMO and EVP for Commercial Sales Tom Taylor said that the P365-XMacro has an enhanced ammo capacity of up to 18 rounds while maintaining its iconic 1-inch slim profile. In addition, it’s equipped with an integrated compensator that reduces muzzle flip, allowing users to be swift on follow-up shots and maintain precision.

The premier firearm manufacturer introduced its latest addition to its P365 series last week, including seven micro-compact entries and four larger-sized models.
SIG’s CMO and EVP for Commercial Sales Tom Taylor said that the P365-XMacro has an enhanced ammo capacity of up to 18 rounds while maintaining its iconic 1-inch slim profile. In addition, it’s equipped with an integrated compensator that reduces muzzle flip, allowing users to be swift on follow-up shots and maintain precision.
It has an overall length of 168mm, a width of 28mm, and a height of 132mm, and weighs approximately 610 g. This compact pistol has a 3.1in carbon steel barrel with the slide slightly protruding ahead of the muzzle, compensating for two broad cuts before the front sight dovetail. This gives the handler maximum control during rapid fire or hot loads.
“It is very simple, like the name suggests, with the P365-XMACRO, you get more of everything you want in an everyday carry pistol, and you no longer need to compromise your capacity for concealability or shootability,” Taylor added.
Like its siblings, the P365-XMacro features a striker-fired, 9mm, and polymer frame pistol. In addition, it is now outfitted with an all-new Macro-Compact Grip Module with a standard 1913 accessory rail, an XSeries optics-ready slide with XRAY3 day/night sights, and a flat trigger.
The P365-XMacro has a pistol with interchangeable small, medium, and large backstraps and two (2) 17-round steel magazines. In addition, users can grab SIG’s Electro-Optics FOXTROT1 rail-mounted flashlight and the ROMEOZero Elite Micro Red Dot sight for additional accessories.
You can have your own P365-XMacro for more or less $800.
After getting the P365-XMacro under the torture test, TFBTV’s Hop said it worked perfectly fine without malfunctions. He, however, said that if given, he’d opt for the traditional P365 XL slide instead of the specter comp system of the XMacro, especially for a carry gun where you don’t have to be “overly concern about rapid fire splits,” unless if you’re using it for competition.
The specter comp system has this added concussion, and if you’re not a fan of that feature, then this gun is not for you. For further insight, check out the video below.
Meanwhile, another gun reviewer claimed that SIG’s XMacro might be a game-changer in how concealed carry guns work and their future capabilities. During his torture test, he felt like he was shooting a full-size carry optics gun rather than a compact one.
He also discussed how the P365 XMacros has range-wide leverage capability. The grip module in this compact pistol has been changed by SIG, making it longer to accommodate the now full-size gun capacity in what is effectively a skinny Glock 19-size pistol. By extending the grip, you have your pinky mounted on the gun, providing full support and assisting users in managing recoils.
Not to mention the leveraged they installed in the grip module, which gives it a slightly fatter feel compared to its siblings. Furthermore, SIG introduced interchangeable back straps, which would create a pocket at the back of the gun and allow users to have a full firing grip that provides resistance to muzzle climbing, allowing the firearm to be returned quickly.
His final verdict: “So, the [P365 XMacros] is a significant gun to the point that I am going to get the grip module and some more magazines… it is a very, very capable gun.”
