The Dick Marcinko Interviews Part 5

In Episode 5, Dick talks about the formation of SEAL Team Six, a program so secret Marcinko could even tell other SEALs about it.  During the formation of this unit, Dick tells us grooming standards were in a state of change.  Dick arrived in Vietnam finding SEALs with long hair and mutton chop sideburns.  He ordered them to return to proper grooming standards that did not go over well.  Then upon setting up Team Six he found himself telling some of these same guys, to grow beards and wear earrings.

In an interesting observation, Dick tells us that each ocean has its own rhythm that you can feel under you in the small inflatable craft he and SEAL Team Six trained in.
