The Pic of the Day: Air Force welcomes the nation’s first Black service chief

On Tuesday, June 9, the U.S. Senate confirmed the nomination of General Charles “CQ” Brown as the Air Force’s next Chief of Staff, the top leadership position in the branch, making him the first African American service chief in history. General Brown will be replacing Gen David L. Goldfein as the 22nd Air Force Chief of Staff.

General Brown has more than 2,900 flight hours, including 130 combat hours, mostly with the F-16 platform.
