The Pic of the Day: US and Russian astronauts land in Siberia after returning from the ISS

A Russian Soyuz MS-08 space capsule lands about 150 km (80 miles) south-east of the Kazakh town of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan, Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. The space capsule, with three men onboard, safely landed in a barren steppe in Kazakhstan after a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station.

Per NASA:

“Three crew members who have been living and working aboard the International Space Station have landed safely in Kazakhstan. Expedition 56 Commander Drew Feustel and Flight Engineer Ricky Arnold of NASA, along with Flight Engineer and Soyuz Commander Oleg Artemyev of the Russian space agency Roscosmos landed at 7:44 a.m. EDT.”
