Well it appears as if the Hellenic (Greek) Air Force and the Turkish Air Force have been keeping up foreign relations over the Aegean Sea once again. According to Greek defense officials, at least 8 Turkish aircraft, six jets and two CN-235s, violated Greek airspace no less than nine times.
To be honest with you, this sort of thing between Turkey and Greece happens with enough regularity that it typically wouldn’t be major news unless somebody fired shots in anger. What piqued our interest was the timing of these and other recent Greek airspace violations by the Turks, considering they just shot down a Russian Air Force aircraft after multiple violations of Turkish airspace.
We know the circumstances are different, and we also know that sabre rattling between Greece and Turkey go together like peanut butter and jelly, but really, Turkey?

Don’t get us wrong: sheer morbid curiosity wonders about Block 50+ versus Block 52+ BFM. May the best Viper win, right? But in all seriousness, there are enough shenanigans going on everywhere else, does there need to be more tension in that general area?
More to follow on this, for sure.
