Watch: 101st Airborne Aid and assist engaging Daesh (ISIS) in Iraq

Joint operations and fire missions – Forward Deployed Advise and Assist soldiers from 101st Airborne Division Fire on Daesh positions from Kara Soar Base, Iraq, during operations in support of the Iraqi Army.

U.S Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and 1st Battalion, 182nd Field Artillery Regiment, fire an M142 High Mobility Rocket System and M777 howitzers from Kara Soar Base, Iraq during an operation to support the Iraqi Army.Fire missions are one way the Coalition enables the Iraqi Army to defeat the Daesh. Advise and assist teams enable Iraqi security forces as they prepare for upcoming operations by sharing intelligence and helping them develop security strategies and targeting plans.
