Weird Gun Wednesday: Heckler and Koch operational briefcase

In the 1970’s, terrorist kidnappings were widely feared and personal security teams were deployed by governments and the wealthy to protect likely kidnappees. The guys at H&K wanted to sell the MP-5 to these teams, but had to come up with a discreet way to carry it around.  They built a polymer and aluminum brief case which held an HK MP-5K submachine gun It was awkward to shoot and clumsy to reload, but it did have a place in executive protection.  In modern times, it is less subtle than a fanny pack and stands out more than it conceals unless you are disguised as a copy machine repairman.
