Advance freedom for the benefit of the American people and the international community by helping to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and prosperous world composed of well-governed states that respond to the needs and wants of their people. Establish a world without poverty, and work at eliminating religious extremism using a policy of prevention through education. We will do this by promoting healthy and meaningful change in the social and political environments that are producing the extremists of tomorrow. We will lead by example, say what we mean and do what we say, and encourage candor at all costs. We will put our people first, and support them at all costs. (Strike “and act responsibly within the international system” as these edits support this inherently.)
