In a significant step to enhance its military capabilities, Poland has signed a $300-million leasing contract with the United States for eight Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters.

The deal, aimed at strengthening Poland’s airborne assault capacity, includes comprehensive training, spare parts, technical assistance, and logistics support to ensure the helicopters’ operational readiness.

According to reports, all eight AH-64Ds will be assigned to the 1st Land Forces Aviation Brigade, based in Inowrocław, a key unit providing aerial support for Polish ground forces.

To facilitate a seamless integration of the Apache helicopters, aircrew training is already underway.
