A rough upbringing and the life lessons you learn from it prepare you for the rigorous training SOF must go through. Those who haven’t been challenged yet by life usually wash out.
Big Phil tells a particularly colorful story about growing up in government-sponsored children’s homes, selling stolen ducks to restaurants, and hot-wiring cars by age 12.
