Vietnam Veterans Visit Old AH-1 Cobra on Gowen Field

Former Soldiers from B Troop, 7th Squadron, 1st Air Cavalry Squadron visited Gowen Field Oct. 21 to see a familiar piece of their history: the AH-1 Cobra that several of them flew in Vietnam, which now sits outside the Idaho Military Division’s headquarters building.

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Brett W. Haskin flew his final mission flight on May 6, 2022 while serving as the Brigade Aviation Maintenance Officer for 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division and was greeted with a water canon salute from the Camp Humphreys Fire Department upon his taxi on the tarmac.
