At a time when the Justice Department is looked upon negatively for the appearance of impropriety bordering on corruption in the handling of the Clinton email scandal; a former USAG who refused to compromise under another Clinton administration, passes on.

Possibly most well-known as the authority who gave the go-ahead on the unsuccessful ATF raid in Waco, Texas, Janet Reno spent her life dedicated to the law without exception.

“I made the decision, I’m accountable. The buck stops with me.” Ms. Reno said in regards to the botched Waco raid.

The first female Attorney General, as part of the Clinton Administration she authorized the extended probe into the Monica Lewinsky affair, which later lead to the impeachment proceedings of then president, Bill Clinton.
