The South Atlantic is infamous for its rough seas. Ships can literally be submerged by towering waves. And gales often reach storm-force levels.
The search for the ARA San Juan is focused on 250-mile radius in southern Argentina.
Hopefully, the international rescue force will be able to tame seas in time and find the missing submarine.
