The vehicle is able to hold up to eight SEALs and their gear, in addition to a pilot and navigator.

The submersible consists of three compartments: a swimmers’ compartment where the SEALs will ride for the duration of the time, a “line in and line out” compartment where they exit and enter the submersible, and a compartment for the navigator and pilot.

The swimmers’ compartment is only about 10 to 12 feet long, which could be a tight squeeze for eight SEALs.

In the beginning it took me awhile before it sunk in just how absurdly busy Jack was with everyone and everything that was SOFREP. I was a sucker to the fact that every time I sent Jack a FB IM he fired right back, and not in grunts, but full-up expounded sentences.

I’ve been fortunate to work with every branch of the military, some for extended periods of time. I’ve been on a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and I’ve been involved in Pacific theater contingency operations.

Two years after completing Basic Training a CCT has been through SERE, Airborne, HALO, Air Traffic Control School, Combat Dive (open and closed circuit), as well as a myriad of CQB, Small Unit Tactics, trauma courses, etc.

Funding is provided by the United States to field up to 30,000 ALP. Current strength (mid-2016) is at about 29,000.
