Hey SOFREP Readers, thanks for joining us earlier today for the webcast featuring Eric Blehm and Chris Kyle. They shared personal stories from 9/11, discussed stories from their books and took some great questions.
We’ve got a recording of the webcast here for your viewing pleasures. It was a crazy day on the Internet today, what with Godaddy under attack, so the webcast suffered a few technical glitches. But Eric’s team came through and provided a great webcast.
About the Participants:
Chris Kyle is a retired Navy SEAL and the author of the New York Times best-selling book American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History. Chris was an active duty Navy SEAL during 9/11 and is recorded as having the most career sniper kills in United States military history.
Eric Blehm is the New York Times best-selling author of Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown. In researching and collecting the events surrounding the life and sacrifice of SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown, Eric interviewed several SEAL Team SIX Members, many of whom were killed in action when their Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011. In 2002, I met Ventura in Minneapolis face to face at night in an alley behind a theater and called him a phony SEAL. He called me Army puke. I wish he'd tell that to the Green Berets.
Chris was a true patriot and an inspiration to Americans young and old. He epitomizes the bedrock values our nation was built upon. My condolences go out to his family and those with whom he served.
RIP. Our flag is now flying half staff. We will miss you
