“Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen wants to rebuild the armed forces to meet the challenges of cyber warfare. According to information from the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Ministry of Defense is set to task and distribute new commands among the troops with cyber skills via a private military organization area. The new organizational area is set to be treated as the Army, Air Force, and Navy, as well as the medical service and will be situated on armed forces bases.
So far, the cyber capabilities of the Bundeswehr are not organized centrally but distributed across the band. By pooling resources to reinforce the increasing importance of the issue and the threats that may come from cyber attacks. According to military sources, the Bundeswehr will present their projects publicly shortly. The Ministry originally wanted the plans under wraps and had instituted a policy to neither confirm nor deny the existence of the new cyber defense strategy.

According to military sources, the new convention should not interfere with the fundamentals, which recently revamped the Bundeswehr structure. Central responsible for the project is Armour Secretary Katrin Suder. Von der Leyen, a physicist, who was recruited last year from the consulting firm, McKinsey. The Ministry is set to expand on the startup concepts of this new institution and is planning to go beyond the narrow concept of cyber warfare.”
