Rooting for the Under Mad Dog – General James Mattis for President

General James “Mad Dog” Mattis, Marine, former U.S. Central Command, and the only chance we have at placing a capable and competent leader in the White House. It’s unlikely to happen, but we can believe.

On Friday, General Mattis will be speaking in Washington D.C., at the Middle East Center for Strategic and International Studies. Although that is as close as the General may get to politics, because he doesn’t want the job. I can’t blame him, overnight the man would become the “Brawler of D.C.,” as he champions in common sense on the mean, political streets of the capital.

Many of us want and would support a President like General Mattis, but we know that the politicians wouldn’t allow him into their clubhouse. Even if the politicians did allow Mad Dog in, their bickering and pandering would push the man into a full-time job of cracking skulls. That is also something I would like to see and support at the polls and in the streets; I got your back, Sir!

As I’ve previously stated on SOFREP:

“From the start, I’m in.

How awesome would it be to have this man brandishing his unapologetic knife hands at foreign dignitaries when they’re trying to screw America around?

General Mattis’s career and values greatly outshine any politicians. He is also superiorly quick-witted, uniquely more common-sense based, and deadly than our current Presidental candidates. General Mattis further maintains a cache of awesome phrases that he’s coined to back his unapologetic honesty, many of which would bring the fear of God into any filibustering or nonsensical politicians that dare challenge him, such as:

“No better friend, no worse enemy.”
“Look past the rhetoric and rally to the flag.”
“Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.”
“I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I’ll kill you all.”
“The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some assholes in the world that just need to be shot.”
“Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.”

“The Secret Movement to Draft General James Mattis for President

Gen. James Mattis doesn’t necessarily want to be president—but that’s not stopping a group of billionaire donors from hatching a plan to get him there.

An anonymous group of conservative billionaires is ready to place their bets on a man dubbed “Mad Dog,” hoping to draft him into the presidential race to confront Donald Trump.

Think of it as a Plan B should Trump be nominated by the Republican Party in Cleveland: swing behind retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis and press him into service yet again as a third-party candidate.”

“No Country for Old Generals?

A handful of Republican activists are waging a long-shot campaign to persuade retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis to run for president and save the GOP from potential electoral disaster this fall.

On paper, they seem to have a strong argument. GOP front-runners Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are deeply unpopular with broad swaths of the voting public. Retired generals like Mattis, by contrast, convey an aura of competence and courage, inspiring confidence that they will keep the country safe in dangerous times. With no record in elected office, former generals have no political baggage to alienate voters, and they are associated with one of the few American institutions that still enjoys wide public support.”
