47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs  spoke with A1C Demaine Smiley, 47th Security Forces Squadron patrolman, talking about what they do and what the different jobs in security forces are and their mission to protect the base at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas on Oct. 15, 2021. The United States Air Force Security Forces are the ground combat force and military police service of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. USAF Security Forces were formerly known as Military Police, Air Police, and Security Police at various points in its history.
