I had a chance to sit down with Ernie Emerson from Emerson Knives while at SHOT Show 2017. This was the first time I have met Mr. Emerson face to face and I have to say he is one of the most humble men I have ever met. Just listening to him talk about the relationships they have with their ‘customers’ and how people have influenced himself and the knife designs he creates was a once in a lifetime experience. I have been a loyal Emerson Knife owner for several years due to their quality products and family friendly customer service. When I was first introduced to Mr. Emerson by his daughter, he gave me a man hug thanking me for everything I have done. I responded with “well you make it easy with the quality products you produce.” Many of those products we have reviewed here on the Loadout Room.

Emerson Knives has been a small family run business from the start and you can tell by the way they treat everybody. I say I’m a lifelong Emerson owner for several reasons.

• They treat me as a member of their family, which I highly respect
• They are a family working and making a living just like anyone of us
• Obviously because they are MADE IN THE USA! (This should mean something to everyone)
