A federal officer who police say shot and killed three people, including his estranged wife, during a rampage in Maryland was arrested on Friday as he sat and ate lunch in his car, police said.
Police captured Eulalio Tordil, 62, of Adelphi, Md., as he sat in his silver Hyundai in a parking lot, police said. Tordin shot six people, starting with a shooting in the parking lot of a high school in Beltsville, Md., that left his 44-year-old estranged wife, Gladys Tordil, dead.
The rampage began on Thursday shortly before 5 p.m. as Tordil approached his estranged wife in the parking lot of High Point High School, where Gladys Tordil intended to pick up her children. They argued as Gladys Tordil sat in her SUV, police said. When a male onlooker tried to intervene, Eulalio Tordil shot him numerous times in the shoulder, injuring him, police said.

Overnight, Prince George’s County, Md., police checked addresses associated with Tordil to see if he might have been hiding out, Prince George’s County Police Chief Henry Stawinski said.
