First look: Kahr S9

Kahr Arms has long been recognized for providing quality American-made handguns in both their Value lines and Premium lines.  One feature that both lines have been missing and some shooters (your truly included) is the existence of forward cocking serrations.  That has been remedied with the new S Series and Kahr S9.  We got the chance to get our hands on one.  If you’re not familiar with the basic specs of the Kahr pistols we’ve included the basics taken right from Kahr’s website, or you can see it for yourself in the tabletop video below.

Operation: Trigger cocking DAO; lock breech; “Browning – type” recoil lug; passive striker block; no magazine disconnect
Barrel: 3.6″, conventional rifling; 1-10 right-hand twist

Grips: Textured polymer with ID tag
Sights: Drift adjustable white Two-dot rear sight, pinned in polymer front sight

We haven’t taken the S9 out to the range yet, but if it shoots anything like the P9 or CW9 we tested we’re in for a treat.  If all the Kahr models confuse you we’ve done a previous article to help you figure out which Kahr to drive.
