33. Ret. Belarusian Colonel Nikolai Markov, reportedly killed in action, was shot down over Popasna on May 26. “Independent Pilot,” Su-25, Wagner Group.
32. Colonel Evgeny Mikhailovich Gerasimenko was reported killed in action on May 19. Commander, 45th Guards Spetsnaz Brigade, Deputy Commander, 1st Army Corps, DPR.
31. Colonel Alexey Leonidovich Smirnov was reported killed in action on May 16. Chief of Communications, 98th Guards Airborne Division.
30. Colonel Denis Vladimirovich Kozlov was reported killed in action on May 11 while crossing the Siverskyi Donets River. Commander, 12th Separate Guards Engineering Brigade.
29. Colonel Yuri Yuryevich Kukushkin was reportedly killed in action on May 5. 108th Guards Air Assault Regiment, 7th Guards Mountain Air Assault Division.
28. Colonel Eduard Pelishenko was reported heavily wounded sometime on April 26. Commander, DNR’s Militia Forces.
27. Colonel Vladimir Borisovich Kovalenko was reported killed in action somewhere in Mariupol on April 23. Department Head, Department of Internal Security, Ministry of Interior, DPR.
26. Colonel Ivan Grishin was reportedly killed in action, probably near Izyum, on April 18. Commander of Russia’s 49th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade (1st Tank Army).
25. Captain Anton Kuprin (Colonel equivalent) was reportedly killed in action on the Moskva on April 14 or 15. Captain, Guided Missile Cruiser Moskva, Flagship, Black Sea Fleet.
