The Pic of the Day: French commandos carry their fallen

On May 11, 2019, French naval commandos carried out a hostage rescue operation in Burkina Faso. Four men, including one American, had been captured by terrorists. During the operation, two French operators were killed: Petty Officer First Class Cedric de Pierrepont, age 32, and Petty Officer First Class  Alain Bertoncello, age 27. All the hostages were rescued.
