U.S. Airmen along with coalition partners from Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, step off for the first lap of a 24-hour ruck march led by commanders of each first-responder squadron on base, September 11, 2022. The ruck started at 3:46 p.m. Arabian Standard Time--the exact time the first plane hit the World Trade Center North Tower when converted from Eastern Daylight Time that day, and continued for 24 hours. POINT MUGU, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2022) – Capt. Robert “Barr” Kimnach III, commanding officer, Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), center-stage, renders a salute during a 9/11 ceremony onboard Point Mugu. NBVC is a strategically located Naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.
