DNR leader Somali, better know as Givi, a 35-year-old commander died in his office in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Reports claim that he was killed by a portable rocket system, this was fired directly into the office were Givi was conducting his work. The DNR have condemned this as a terrorist attack, head of the DNR Alexander Zakharchenko is to hold an emergency meeting this afternoon. Below a video of “Somali” Mikhail Tolstoy, known as “Givi”:
Also, the funeral of “LNR” (Russian-backed Luhansk People’s Republic) commander Anashenko was held in Luhansk today. He was killed by a car bomb, some claim at the hand Ukrainian special forces.

Up to 89 attacks occurred yesterday as a mix of small arms clashes and light artillery (82mm & 120mm mortars) fell across the frontlines. Areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka have seen more shelling this morning.

Fighting continues along the front lines but in the last 24 hours, I have noticed a fall in the fighting. Maybe they are just regrouping as it has been a hard week here in Ukraine. I know from past experience that it is common here; they go hard for few days then stop for a break, get some more ammo, and then back to business!
