Dallas Police department’s decision to use a robot to remotely detonate explosives may set a precedent for active shooters in the future.
A female soldier has come forward since the shooting, stating that Micah Johnson sexually harassed her during their deployment in Afghanistan.
It is being reported that the shooter had attended a private ‘self-defense’ course that taught military style drills to include shooting on the move. Nobody will ever know his true intention for taking that course. It could have been for recreation or as part of his planning and preparation for the attacks.
A source told SOFREP and thearmsguide.com that when Dallas SWAT made entry after the detonation of the explosive device, they encountered a Saiga IZ-240 semiautomatic rifle on the floor among the rubble. The weapon had a 30 round magazine, single point sling, Magpul folding stock and a rail system with a Primary Arms 5 power scope.
SOFREP recently received new information from two separate law enforcement sources, close to the Dallas shooting, that said the shooter allegedly used a Saiga AK-74.
