Several gunmen attacked the police academy in Quetta, Pakistan, killing at least 41 trainees and injuring 106. During the attack, there were approximately 700 trainees on the campus. The gunmen focused the attack on the hostel that housed the sleeping trainees. The majority of the trainees were killed by two explosive devices. So far three attackers have been confirmed dead: Two attackers were killed after detonating explosive devices and another attacker was killed by Afghan security forces.
