Concealment Express is an American holster company known for its appendix carry rigs. Recently, they’ve dived into the world outside the waistband holsters. OWB concealment rigs have most certainly fallen out of fashion as the industry has moved near-universally to appendix carry. However, old-timers like me still appreciate an excellent OWB rig. The new Concealment Express OWB Kydex Belt Loop Holster combines all the features we want in a concealed carry rig but in an OWB platform.
Leather pancake holsters are often the choice for concealed carry OWB rigs. They cling tight to the body and limit the potential printing. The Concealment Express OWB rig is super thin and lightweight as well. The user also has tons of different control options over how the holster sits. The ride height can be changed to three different positions, and the user can add cant should they choose. The holster can be swapped for both left and right-handed use with ease.

The holster is modular and you can be modular with your gun as well. The Concealment Express OWB rig allows you to outfit your gun with compensators, red dots, and suppressor height sights. If you like to tinker at your gun, this holster allows it.
The Concealment Express OWB rig completely covers both the trigger and magazine release: the trigger to provide a greater degree of safety and the magazine release to prevent accidental magazine discharge. The gun locks into the holster with a loud click that lets you know the passive retention is in play. The trigger guard is the retention point to secure the holster in place.
The Concealment Express OWB holster is also incredibly comfortable. It really sticks to the body and prevents excessive printing, even under a relatively lightweight T-Shirt. The holster’s tight nature doesn’t mean you can’t get a full grip when you go to draw: You can definitely get a full fighting grip on your gun and spring it into action.
Its all-polymer nature means it will last essentially forever. The material is waterproof, tearproof, and dang near anything proof. Kydex lasts almost forever, and as long as you aren’t trying to Dremel it or set it on fire, then you’ll be good to go.
Grab, pull, orient, and extend is the name of the game in your pistol draw. The Concealment Express OWB holster allows for a fast and consistent draw. Nothing stops you from bringing your gun into action. The refined design ensures a smooth and easy draw. Additionally, the holster’s inside is smooth and snag-free, which protects your gun’s finish and allows for a clean cover garment.
The holster is shaped to allow a full grip from concealment. I can draw standing from a seated position and beyond. With the trigger completely covered, I have no issues shoving my hand to the gun like a caveman. I don’t have to worry about the trigger until the gun clears leather… or, well, Kydex.
Concealment Express has built an excellent concealed carry rig that is comfortable, safe, and easily accessible. It’s perfect if IWB has never appealed to you. Check it out, and let us know what you think.
