The Pic of the Day: Iron Fist 2020 used island where Navy SEALs train

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, simulate a town seizure for an amphibious assault during Exercise Iron Fist 2020 on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 12. Capable maritime forces help ensure stability and prosperity around the world. Exercises like Iron Fist enhance the ability of U.S. and Japanese forces to quickly deploy sea-based assets and provide military forces anywhere in the world.

San Clemente Island, off the coast of California, was also used for the exercise. The Island is where Navy SEAL trainees go for the third phase of Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training. SEAL Team also frequent the Island for some realistic live-fire training.
