We have once again arrived at week’s end, which means it is once again time for our tribute to the ear-splitting, bone-rattling glory of Burner Friday!

Today’s offering is a Block 25E Lockheed-Martin F-16C from the 64th Aggressor Squadron. This particular Viper is affectionately referred to as a “Smurf” jet, given its overall blue paint scheme.

As we’ve discussed previously, the 64 AGRS is now the backbone of the 57th Adversary Tactics Group‘s ability to replicate enemy air threats, now that there are no longer F-15s assigned to the same mission.

Here’s a look at some AGRS Vipers during a Red Flag exercise a few years back.

Have a great weekend, FighterSweep Fans! Be sure to stay tuned for some great content coming through in the days to come!
