Fighter Sweep is on the hunt for World War II bomber pilots that we can work with on an upcoming project. Our goal is to tell the stories of the heroic men tasked with bringing the fight to our nation’s enemies in the largest air conflict this planet has ever seen — and to do so in a way that honors their courage, sacrifices, and indomitable will.

Deeper than that though, we want to share the humanity at play in the skies over World War II. It’s easy to look back on history like its just a story that we tell, but each name you see on the pages of a history book represents a life full of experiences, triumphs, failures, and the innumerable tiny events that shape who we are as people.

Our challenge is to do these great men justice — not just as war fighters, but as people the next generation can connect to, understand, and appreciate.

But we can’t do it without your help.

If you know a bomber pilot from World War II, please put us in touch. If you don’t, please share this story in case one of your friends does. My daughter and her generation run the risk of never fully understanding what these conflicts of the past were really like. Help me make sure that doesn’t happen.

Reach out to me personally on Facebook, Twitter or by e-mail, or send a message to our pages on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. If you want, you can even comment below!

Thanks for your help on this, guys. I can’t wait to see what we can make happen.

E-mail us here if you served in WWII as a bomber pilot or know someone who has.
