If you have been reading the Loadout Room’s mission items, you might have noticed a theme of late, some call it being the grey man, some call it low profile operations, non-permissive, or it is just a way of life by blending into the environment. If you travel to NY City or any major metropolitan these days and ride the public transportation you will notice a variety of packs. Some people like the messenger style while others use whatever backpack styles their company provided to them with the company’s logo (not a good idea traveling abroad) embroidered on it. Then there are those that have the military-style laptop and backpacks with MOLLE webbing all over, with carabiners attached every 3 slots and some moto patch. Don’t get me wrong these bags are strong, proven and will last longer than most, but they make you stand out as either as military, prior military, or some apocalyptic survivalist. I have seen a few get more than a once over with the TSA folks and eyes are always on you when you are in a foreign country. So what do you do when you need a pack that holds all the stuff you need including a blowout kit, carabiners, laptop and other mission gear?
