Ok, so we took a little poetic license with this one. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken didn’t literally get booted from meeting with President Xi of China, but they didn’t exactly solve all the world’s problems either.
China would not agree to resume military-to-military communications channels between the two nations despite their launching one of the most massive military build-ups in recent history. The reason? They say it is because of sanctions the US has placed on them.
Despite this lack of progress, US President Joe Biden says he believes our relationship with China is “on the right path.”
Where that path is heading at this point is anyone’s guess.
