An active shooter situation was reported at the Mueller Park Jr. High in Bountiful, Utah. During a press conference, Bountiful Police LT. Dave Edwards stated a parent of another student disarmed the teen gunman until the school resource officer arrived, who was only down the street when the incident occurred. Once police arrived, they discovered that there was not an active shooter situation. A student fired a gun into the ceiling, he was then disarmed, and no one was injured. The teen had two guns in his possession. Police confirmed they have the suspect in their custody and are still clearing the school. Details about the suspect have not been released yet.
