There is discussion about how former military members can often be prejudged by society as all being cast from one mold when, in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Kamal quotes Hemingway, noting that “War is the best training for a writer.” I think he’s right. Maybe that’s why so many former warriors have gone on to pen books. You’ve experienced life with the volume cranked up to 11, and this can give you insights that you want to share with others.
