Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any crazier, a former top Israeli Defense official has announced that earthlings have been in contact with extraterrestrials from a “galactic federation” and that the Israeli and U.S. governments are working with them. The announcement comes from Haim Eshed, 87, the former head of Israel’s Defense Ministry’s Space Directorate.
In interviews with media outlets in Israel, professor Eshed says that both the United States and Israel have been dealing with aliens for years. There’s even an underground bunker on Mars, Eshed said, with human and alien representatives.
“The Unidentified Flying Objects have asked not to publish that they are here, humanity is not ready yet,” Eshed, told Israel’s Yediot Aharonot newspaper.
The original interview was on Friday and only published in Hebrew. But when the Jerusalem Post ran an English version of the interview on Tuesday, things quickly took off.
Eshed didn’t stop there. He said U.S. President Donald Trump is aware of the aliens and almost spilled the beans but the “Galactic Federation” prevented him from doing so. The Galactic Federation wanted to prevent mass hysteria because it believes humanity isn’t ready for such a revelation.
“They have been waiting until today for humanity to develop and reach a stage where we will understand, in general, what space and spaceships are,” Eshed said
The Galactic Federation must have a lot of influence if it can stop the president from getting on Twitter, but that is a story for another time.
Eshed’s comments are expounded in a new book he recently penned, The Universe Beyond the Horizon — Conversations with Professor Haim Eshed. The book was published in November.
One translated excerpt from his book reads:
“The UFOs have asked not to publish that they are here, humanity is not ready yet. Trump was on the verge of finding out, but the aliens in the Galactic Federation say: Wait, let the winds calm down first. They do not want mass hysteria to develop in us. They want to make us sane first and understand. They have waited until today, for humanity to evolve and reach a stage where we will generally understand what space and spaceships are.”
A Pentagon spokesperson, Sue Gough declined to comment. White House and Israeli officials have not yet commented on Eshed’s claims. But NASA did comment. A spokesman for the space agency said:
“One of NASA’s key goals is the search for life in the universe. Although we have yet to find signs of extraterrestrial life, NASA is exploring the solar system and beyond to help us answer fundamental questions, including whether we are alone in the universe. From studying water on Mars, probing promising ‘ocean worlds,’ such as Enceladus and Europa, to looking for biosignatures in the atmospheres of planets outside our solar system, NASA’s science missions are working together with a goal to find unmistakable signs of life beyond Earth.”
Eshed was asked a key question in this story, and that is why he came out with such information now. His response was because academia has changed a lot.
“If I had come up with what I’m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized,” he said. “Today, they’re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I’ve received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad.”
Professor Eshed served from 1981 to 2010 as the head of Israel’s security space program. He has received the Israel Security Award three times, twice for confidential technological inventions. He has a plaque on the Wall of Honor at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
While the world waits to see if Professor Eshed’s claims are credible, SOFREP is standing by for contact with our alien allies.
