A 25-year-old man was arrested for using CS gas or tear gas in the London City Airport on Oct 21. UK authorities arrested the man under the anti-terrorism laws. The tear gas caused the evacuation of over 500 people from the airport and at least two dozen people to seek treatment for breathing difficulties.

He was arrested on suspicion of using a noxious substance to cause serious damage – an offence under section 113 of the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001.

The suspect was held on Saturday accused of “using a noxious substance to cause serious damage”.

He has since been released on bail until late November.”- BBC News
