Force Reconnaissance Marines assigned to Force Reconnaissance Company, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force along with British Royal Marines with J Company, 42 Commandos and Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5 (EODMU-5) conduct special insertion and raid training on the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) moored at Naval Base Guam, March 21, 2018. The units are conducting joint-combined training in order to develop shared standard operating procedures in a visit, board, search and seizure environment so they can provide a more flexible and mission-ready capability to geographic combatant commanders in the Pacific. EODMU-5 is assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and executing coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
