Special Forces operators from the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) conduct joint exercise with Soldiers from 1st, Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. The Green Berets are seen wearing the Tiger Stripes camouflage pattern uniform. The Tiger Stripes was worn and popularized by Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols (LRRP) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) during the Vietnam War. More recently, a desert variant of the Tiger Stripes has been worn by SOF and paramilitary units in Afghanistan.
