Enjoy the sights and sounds of student pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base (AFB) located about 150 miles west of San Antonio in Del Rio, Texas. Laughlin AFB is home to the Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command and reportedly has more takeoffs and landings during the week than any other airport in the country.
The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is a single-engine turboprop aircraft that holds two pilots. The T-6 is based on the Pilatus PC-9, and has replaced the Air Force’s Cessna T-37B and the Navy’s T-34C Turbo Mentor for primary pilot training. – Wikipedia
