Delta Force
The Unit has seen extensive action in Grenada, Panama, Somalia, the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria. Notable operations include the rescue of Kurt Muse in Pamana in 1989, the “Black Hawk Down” battle in 1993 in Somalia, and the raid that killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, in 2019.
