Christina Lee and Ernie Andrus join Canadian Light Infantry veteran Jonathan Wade, Editor of The Loadout Room and today’s guest host. SOFREP Editor Jack Murphy also makes a special appearance. There’s a whole lot in store for you guys on this show, and we hope you enjoy it!
Christina Lee is running 3,100 miles from New York City to San Francisco, and it’s all for the Navy SEAL Foundation. She’s raised nearly $9,000 since her start last month, but we want her to reach her goal of $100,000. With the help of you SOFREP listeners, we believe she can do it! Christina talks about her background and motivation behind this respectable and slightly insane challenge.
Keeping with the theme of running, we talk with WWII Navy veteran Ernie Andrus, who at the age of 90 is running from San Diego, California to Brunswick, Georgia. He started the run on October 7, 2013 to raise money and awareness for the USS LST Ship Memorial (LST-325) from Normandy, and he refuses to stop. The LST 325 is restored and operational, and Ernie wants to keep the legacy going for generations to come. His story is admirable and inspiring. Donate to Ernie on his website today.
We wrap up with a hit from Jack Murphy to discuss the situation on the ground in Iraq with ISIS, and he is fired up. We also read your e-mails. Please send your questions to [email protected]. We appreciate you all listening and helping us remain #1 in our category on iTunes each week.
