We’re often asked by listeners here at SOFREP, “Where are the Air Force and Marines on the show?” Legitimate criticisms, and we hear you loud and clear. So joining us on this episode are retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel Dan Hampton and former Marine Sgt. Michael Golembesky.

Dan Hampton served in the Air Force for 20 years and has flown 145 combat missions in the F-16. He was named Instructor Pilot of the Year six times for his squadron, and is a graduate of USAF Fighter Weapons School, USN Top Gun School, and USAF Special Operations School. We get Dan’s take on the state of foreign affairs, which he describes as a “whack-a-mole” policy of whacking terrorists but never getting to the root of the problem. He also gives us some insight and stories from his latest book, Lords of the Sky, available now.

Michael Golembesky gives us a look at his combat experience while he was attached to MARSOC. His first book, Level Zero Heroes, comes out September 2 and details his life attached to Marine Special Operations Team 8222, which served in Afghanistan. Michael tells us that he made it a point to put out a book that doesn’t mimic any recent books of war by other veterans, and it’s sure to be interesting. Level Zero Heroes is available for pre-order, so be sure to check it out.

We also answer your emails and voice memos sent to [email protected], talk about the latest on SOFREP.com, and give out a well-deserved Throat Punch of the Week.

With all that’s going on in world and domestic affairs, there has never been a better time to join SOFREP, if you haven’t already, to stay on top of what’s going on written by the guys who’ve had boots on the ground overseas. We appreciate your support.
