Art of War

“American Eagle” by Navy Veteran Artist Victor Reiner

SOFREP will be running a weekly feature for the Art of War in partnership with Uniting US, a non-profit charity that empowers veterans through the healing powers of the arts. Uniting US has graciously provided us with some very high-quality images of the work of their artists to share with you. Artists working with Uniting US have exhibited their work at places like the Pentagon, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Dulles International Airport. Some of the art is for sale if you are inclined to support the worthy mission of this charity.

American Eagle

Oil on Canvas 25″ x 21″

2019

About the Artist: Victor has done so many different things in life but he does note that he’s never gone to space!  After spending time in the Navy, Victor enjoyed moving around and trying out different types of jobs, oftentimes transferring locations within a company to a new city. Through his life experiences, Victor concludes that people are the most meaningful aspect of his life and he is grateful for the opportunity to share his artwork.

As a lifelong artist, his large-scale paintings provide a sense of peace. In American Eagle, the sense of power and freedom emerge from the Eagle’s vantage point on the “high ground.” The Eagle, posed, ready to launch.

Uniting US is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works to inspire, empower, and unite veterans, their family members, and the communities in which they live through the healing power of the arts. To purchase this artwork, learn more about this artist or hundreds of other military artists, or make donations please visit their website at www.UnitingUS.org.
