Drago was instrumental in building a bridge between the Polish GROM and the US Navy SEALs. Often the units would operate jointly. Insider SEALs who worked alongside the GROM in Iraq would give Drago a hard time for sometimes yelling at the SEALs in Polish and the GROM in English over the radio. Regardless of the banter, a close bond and mutual respect was formed between the two units.
