Shooting at an elementary school in Anderson County, SC, one person in custody

Update 2:55 PM EST: Police have one person in custody after a shooting at the Townsville Elementary School in Anderson County, SC. Three people have been injured, two students and a female teacher. All three have been taken to area hospitals.

Anderson County deputies said a suspect was taken into custody after a shooting at Townville Elementary School, according to the according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Sheila Cole with the sheriff’s office said said injuries were reported but could not confirm how many people were shot.- Fox News

At least three people were injured Wednesday during a shooting at Townville Elementary School in Townville, South Carolina. According to deputies, the alleged shooter was taken into custody and is a teenager. Two children and a female teacher were reportedly transported to local hospitals for injuries.- Daily Beast


A shooting has been reported at the Townsville Elementary School in Anderson County, SC. Initial reports state that a person may have been shot in the cafeteria and police are currently on the scene.
