I was presented with an interesting demonstration of how it can protect your hands while also allowing fine dexterity to still be capable of fighting. Personally, I think that this is a step in the right direction for finding materials that will allow us to be more efficient with gear in the field without having to lug around more junk than necessary. In any special unit, having one item capable of accomplishing multiple tasks is going to allow the operator to be more efficient.
